Argo

Once again big thanks to Cineworld for the unlimited preview of Argo, I actually saw this a week ago, but for some reason my computer has been unable to log on to post this for the past week, anyway here goes.

This is based on a true stroy, a CIA operation in 1979. Argo was a Star Wars type Sci-Fi Film that was never made, the reason it was never made is that it was it was a cover for getting a "Canadian film crew" out of Iran, the film crew in question actually being American Embassy staff.

It starts off quite slowly, with a lot of the planning phase, but is the sort of film that creeps up on you and by the end had me totally engrossed. Obviously there is a lot of dramatic Licence used, and I'm sure a lot of the close run ins with the iranians were not in reality quite that close, but that just adds to the tension of the film.

A decent performance by Ben Affleck as CIA agent Tony Mendez, and John Goodman as Make Up Artist John Chambers.

All in all this is a very good film, that draws you in and then delivers 9/10
